CushyCMS for Clients

December 17th, 2011 by

Clients are always wonderful to have – but every once in a while, you get the client who says they don’t want to edit their own site – but would rather you update one paragraph tag a week. The perfect solution for these clients is to utilize the content management system known as CushyCMS. CushyCMS allows minor changes without having to know any code at all. You can apply a class “cushycms” to many elements, and that element becomes editable. Additionally, you’re given the option of adding a title so the user knows what they’re updating.

From the client’s point of view – they simply login and are prompted with the pages that have editable elements. They choose the page they’re interested in and can only see the fields/images that the designer gave the client access to. Brilliant – no more wordpress headaches with novice user’s who just want to post new paragraph edits!

Additionally – CushyCMS is a hosted CMS, so it’s not stored locally on the server. You don’t have to install PHP and databases on your backend for this one to work, so it’s a nice “cushy” CMS for lighter use. And for both your large and small clients you’ll find their Pro or Free versions ideal. The Pro version gives a customized backend that doesn’t require the client to know they’ve left their page and logged into Cushy CMS, while the Free version opts for login stylized to match the Cushy CMS website.
